The Veterans Resource Center is your space for connection, advocacy, and personalized support—whether you’re navigating the transition to college life, returning to school, or preparing to graduate.
Key programs and services
Priority enrollment
All veterans receive first-choice enrollment, regardless of benefits status.
- Using VA benefits? You’re automatically enrolled.
- Not using benefits? Contact the Registrar with proof of service: vets_benefits@ucsc.edu.
Veteran Benefits Services (via Registrar)
Get expert help accessing your VA education benefits. The Veteran Benefits team acts as a liaison with the VA, and can support you with:
- Questions about eligibility
- Accessing state and federal benefits
- DOD Tuition Assistance
- Monthly Housing Allowance

Steps to apply to UCSC as a veteran
- Submit your UC application
- Apply for financial aid
- Apply for your VA educational benefits
- Email your Certificate of Eligibility (COE), DD-214, and verification form to vets_benefits@ucsc.edu
- Submit your UCSC Enrollment Verification Form
